The Honda TRX250R is one of the most iconic two-stroke quads ever produced. Even many years after production ended, it remains a popular choice for racing and high-performance builds.
Its history is closely connected with the Honda ATC250R, the legendary three-wheeler developed for racing. In 1985, the ATC250R received a liquid-cooled 246cc two-stroke engine and a 6-speed transmission.
Honda later used this successful concept as the basis for the four-wheeled TRX250R, also known as the FourTrax 250R. Produced from 1986 to 1989, it became one of the most successful racing quads of its era.
To help keep these legendary machines running, MotoGears has developed a newly manufactured 6-speed replacement gear set for the Honda TRX250R.
The gear set was developed in cooperation with Duncan Racing in the USA. Duncan Racing supplied the original parts and provided valuable technical consultation throughout the project.
The new gears are manufactured by MotoGears in the Czech Republic, with a focus on strength, precision and reliable shifting.
The currently available set includes all transmission gears. Shafts and shift forks are planned for production later. Individual gears are also available separately.
